The heat is at its peak between the times when the sun gains complete reign of the skies – around 10 AM – and when it start skirting the boundaries – after 4 PM. It is, therefore, wiser to not go out during these five hours to make sure you stay safe from a heatstroke.

2. Smart car parking, caps, and shades

If you really do have to go out in the aforementioned hours, take note of three things you must follow. Park your car in an area where direct sunlight is least likely to hit your vehicle (for this, you have to educate yourself about the sun’s movements).

Keep a baseball cap handy, and wear it alongside your sunglasses whenever you step out. This means that even if you park your car far away from the destination – in an area where there’s shade – you can walk easily without the sun frying your brains.

3. Pedestal fans

Make use of those pedestal fans that your mom has stuffed away in the storeroom. You might need an extension cord but place it strategically so that the fan is nearer and gives you most of the cooling. It will be especially helpful if, like many other people, you sleep under a sheet or comforter.

4. Ice packs and cold sheets

While some may already know of it, a clever move is to place ice packs under your mattress at least 20-30 minutes before you hit the sack. This will provide ample time for the ice packs to cool down your bed and for you to clean up any water that has seeped down to the floor.

Seemingly, the entire ‘churail’ episode made a good debate on social media, as all of us grew up listening to the stories describing incidents involving supernatural stuff.

A picture of a 'witch' from Hyderabad that recently surfaced has sent the social media into a frenzy, making people debate whether it is fake or real.

The social media hype can be attributed to the post singer Faakhir Mehmood shared on his Facebook, seeking confirmation if any such incident took place in Hyderabad.

Interestingly, it turned out that the picture was from Morroco, not Hyderabad. It was a doll in the picture, resembling a witch to scare thieves from robbing houses at night.

The picture had gone viral after the singer shared it and social media users started speculating if it was real and why was the 'witch' sitting on a wall in the middle of the night.

पूरे देश और सिस्टम को झकझोर देने वाले निर्भया गैंगरेप केस में शुक्रवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपना फैसला सुनाते हुए चारों दोषियों की फांसी की सजा को बरकरार रखा. कोर्ट ने अपना फैसला सुनाते हुए निर्भया कांड को 'सदमे की सुनामी' बताया. कोर्ट का फैसला आते ही कोर्ट रूम तालियों की गड़गड़ाहट से गूंज उठा. चारों दोषियों ने फांसी की सजा के खिलाफ सुप्रीम में अर्जी दायर की थी. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 27 मार्च को सुनवाई के बाद इस केस में अपना फैसला सुरक्षित रखा था. 5 मई, 2017 को सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जस्टिस दीपक मिश्रा ने अपना फैसला पढ़ते हुए चारों दोषियों की मौत की सजा को बरकरार रखा.

इस मामले में कुल 6 लोग आरोपी थे. कौन हैं वह 6 दोषी जिन्होंने 16 दिसंबर, 2012 की रात वहशीपन की सारी हदें पार कर दी थीं. कौन हैं वह दरिंदे जिन्होंने पैरामेडिकल की छात्रा निर्भया को अपनी हवस का शिकार बनाया और जिनकी वजह से आज निर्भया हमारे बीच नहीं है. जानते हैं, निर्भया के सभी दोषियों के बारे में:

राम सिंह- राम सिंह (32) पेशे से बस ड्राइवर था. जिस चलती बस में निर्भया के साथ गैंगरेप हुआ, उस बस को राम सिंह ही चला रहा था. राम सिंह इस वारदात का मुख्य आरोपी था. राम सिंह ने गैंगरेप करने के साथ ही निर्भया और उसके दोस्त को लोहे की रॉड से बुरी तरह पीटा था. घटना के महज कुछ घंटों बाद पुलिस ने राम सिंह को गिरफ्तार कर लिया था. 11 मार्च, 2013 को राम सिंह ने तिहाड़ जेल में खुदकुशी कर ली थी.

मुकेश सिंह- मुकेश (32) बस का क्लीनर था. जिस रात बस में गैंगरेप की यह घटना हुई थी उस वक्त मुकेश सिंह भी बस में सवार था. गैंगरेप के बाद मुकेश ने निर्भया और उसके दोस्त को बुरी तरह पीटा था. मुकेश सिंह अभी तिहाड़ जेल में बंद है.

विनय शर्मा- विनय (26) पेशे से फिटनेस ट्रेनर था. जब इसके पांच अन्‍य साथी निर्भया के साथ गैंगरेप कर रहे थे तो यह बस चला रहा था. अन्य दोषियों के साथ विनय तिहाड़ जेल में कैद है और वह यूनिवर्सिटी परीक्षा की तैयारी कर रहा है. विनय ने पिछले साल जेल के भीतर आत्‍महत्‍या की कोशिश की थी लेकिन वह बच गया.

पवन गुप्ता- पवन गुप्ता (24) दिल्ली में फल बेचने का काम करता था. 16 दिसंबर को गैंगरेप के समय यह भी अपने दोस्तों के साथ उस बस में मौजूद था. फिलहाल पवन गुप्ता भी तिहाड़ जेल नंबर दो में अन्य दोषियों के साथ बंद है. पवन भी जेल में रहकर ग्रेजुएशन की पढ़ाई कर रहा है.

अक्षय ठाकुर- बिहार का रहने वाला अक्षय ठाकुर (33) अपनी पढ़ाई छोड़कर घर से भागकर दिल्ली आ गया था. यहां उसकी दोस्ती राम सिंह से हुई थी. राम सिंह के सहारे वह फल बेचने वाले पवन गुप्ता से भी घुल-मिल गया था. तिहाड़ जेल में कैद अक्षय ठाकुर ने जेल में अपनी जान को खतरा बताया था. जिसके बाद इसकी सुरक्षा को और ज्यादा चाक-चौबंद कर दिया गया.

नाबालिग दोषी- गैंगरेप का छठा आरोपी एक नाबालिग है. इसी शख्‍स ने निर्भया को बस में चढ़ने का आग्रह किया था. घटना के वक्‍त वह नाबालिग था. नतीजतन जुवेनाइल जस्टिस बोर्ड ने तीन साल की अधिकतम सजा के साथ उसे सुधार केंद्र में भेजा था. दिसंबर, 2015 में सजा पूरी करने के बाद उसे रिहा कर दिया गया. दावा है कि गैंगरेप के दौरान निर्भया से सबसे ज्यादा दरिंदगी इसी नाबालिग ने की थी.

केस स्टेटसः सभी 6 आरोपियों के खिलाफ बलात्‍कार, अपहरण और हत्‍या का मामला दर्ज हुआ. फास्‍ट ट्रैक कोर्ट में मामला चला. 13 सितंबर, 2013 को चार दोषियों को फांसी की सजा सुनाई गई और नाबालिग को तीन साल की अधिकतम सजा के साथ सुधार केंद्र में भेज दिया गया. 13 मार्च, 2014 को दिल्‍ली हाई कोर्ट ने भी फांसी की सजा को बरकरार रखा. 5 मई, 2017 यानी शुक्रवार को एक बार फिर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपना फैसला सुनाते हुए दोषियों की मौत की सजा को बरकरार रखा.

क्या आप ख़ुद से अपने स्पर्म को मार रहे हैं? मशहूर जर्नल बीएमजे ओपन के मुताबिक़ हर चार में से एक युवा के स्पर्म की गुणवत्ता कमज़ोर है. पूरी दुनिया में स्पर्म की क्वालिटी में गिरावट की समस्या देखी जा रही है.

विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि इसकी वजह नौकरी, जीवन शैली और कुछ ख़ास केमिकल है. स्पर्म की गुणवत्ता में गिरावट का मतलब है प्रजनन शक्ति में कमी आना. कहीं आपकी जीवन शैली भी तो ऐसी नहीं है जिससे स्पर्म को नुक़सान हो रहा हो?

एक वैश्विक समस्या

बीएमजे ओपन के मुताबिक़ स्पर्म की गुणवत्ता में लगातार गिरावट के कारण 20 फ़ीसदी जोड़े बच्चे पैदा नहीं कर पा रहे हैं. माना जा रहा है कि यह किसी एक देश की बात नहीं है बल्कि दुनिया भर में ऐसा हो रहा है.

मौत के बाद पति के शुक्राणु मांगे

1989 से 2005 के बीच फ्रांसीसी पुरुषों के स्पर्म काउंट में एक तिहाई की गिरावट आई है. पिछले 15 सालों में चीनी पुरुषों के स्पर्म काउंट में भी भारी गिरावट आई है.

आख़िर आपके स्पर्म में ऐसी गिरावट क्यों आ रही है?

ब्रिटिश जर्नल ऑफ स्पोर्ट्स मेडिसिन के मुताबिक यदि आप हफ़्ते में 20 घंटे या उससे ज़्यादा टीवी देखते हैं तो सतर्क हो जाइए. स्पर्म की गुणवत्ता में गिरावट का ज़्यादा टीवी देखने से सीधा संबंध है.

आर्काइव ऑफ इंटरनल मेडिसिन के अनुसार मोटापा भी आपके स्पर्म का दुश्मन है. सामान्य वजन वाले पुरुषों के मुकाबले मोटे पुरुषों के स्पर्म बेकार क्वालिटी के होते हैं. 42 फ़ीसदी मोटे लोगों का स्पर्म ख़राब होता है. इसलिए आप अपने खान-पान पर ध्यान दें और साथ ही व्यायाम को अपने दैनिक जीवन का हिस्सा बनाएं.

नौकरी की वजह से आपकी दिनचर्या पर जो फ़र्क पड़ता है उसकी कीमत भी चुकानी पड़ती है. इंटरनेशनल जर्नल ऑफ फर्टिलिटी एंड स्टर्लिटी के मुताबिक माल ढुलाई करने वाले कामगारों और शेफ इस मामले में सबसे ज़्यादा असुरक्षित होते हैं. इनमें स्पर्म की गुणवत्ता से जुड़ा सबसे ज़्यादा जोखिम होता है.

साइंटिफिक रिपोर्ट 2015 के अनुसार स्पर्म की गुवणत्ता कम करने में बिसफिनो ए (बीपीए) केमिकल का भी हाथ होता है. बीपीए आपके घर के कई सामानों में पाया जाता है. यह प्लास्टिक और कॉस्मेटिक चीज़ों में होता है.

एनएचएस 2010 के मुताबिक बीपीए की ज़्यादा मात्रा का स्पर्म डीएनए के नुक़सान से सीधा संबंध है. इससे स्पर्म की गुणवत्ता पर असर पड़ता है.

हमारी आधुनिक जीवनशैली, आहार और वातावरण के कारण भी स्थिति बिगड़ रही है. अब वक़्त आ गया है कि इस मामले में टालमटोल को छोड़ दें. यदि आपको लगता है कि यह ज़रूरी है तो इसे लोगों से साझा करें.
